Finally finished my suitcase

The first always takes me the longest. I paint, repaint, vamp, revamp. But I am thrilled with the outcome and will definitely be making more. The kids have picked out the colors they want. The girls want a suitcase for their doll clothes. My daughter wants one for her guest room. My Mom wants one just because.
I painted the outside a cream color then sponge painted it all with a green paint. I used coordinating fabric for the inside and created stripes on the outside. I used modge podge for the fabric outside.
This one is for sale on Ebay (seller sueb19).

I'm revamping this suitcase and I'd like to share my progress in this series of photo's
I still have some details to finish inside but I'm begining to like it.
I think it would be perfect in a bedroom
with towels and other special items for you or a guest.
First I gutted the old blue satin inside.
Then I used the material for a template on cardboard.
As you can see I've primed the outside as well.
I've added ribbon to tie your items in place.
And have sewn buttons to the bottom for that upholstered look.
Now I'm working on detail.........a silk flower border, a mirror, and lots of ribbon.
I'll be sure to share more pictures as I go.
