So my ams are now longer.

What a great find this weekend. A 1929 cast iron Crane double drainboard kitchen sink at a yardsale. It's in great condition. We loaded it in my truck upsidedown so we wouldn't disturb the plumbing or scratch the enamel. So after getting it home I of course wanted to take pictures. So we set up two saw horses and eased the sink out and flipped it over. The thing probably weighs close to 400 lbs. I took some great pictures. Then it came time to put it back on the truck to keep it safe and under cover. So that meant we would have to roll it back over. I was in the middle and my two manly helpers were on the ends. Once we rolled the sink most of the weight went to the center. I knew that I could not lift a end high enough to get it back into the truck. Well neither could my helper 5'4" helper. My son who is 6' was on the other end so I suggested they switch sides. Now mind you the front of the sink is on the edge of the saw horses and there I was in the center. And the two of them let go at the same time to switch places........I did not lose it.......but........My arms are a little longer. I'm happy to report the sink is safe and sound back in the truck and my arms have retracted and my knuckles are no longer dragging on the ground. I've placed the sink for sale on Ebay and hope you drop by to see it.

Beary scary: Black bear removed from tree in Rochester

A black bear clings to a tree in downtown Rochester Sunday

ROCHESTER — Authorities late Sunday night tranquilized and removed a black bear after it climbed a tree downtown in the early morning and refused to budge all day.Wakefield Street was closed starting at about 6:30 a.m. Sunday and stayed closed late into the night after the bear climbed into the tree. According to Rochester Police Sgt. Gary Boudreau, a caller reported the bear heading up Main Street toward a tree near Citizen's Bank on the corner of Main and Wakefield streets."He has climbed right up there," Boudreau said during the day Sunday. "And I don't think he is going to come down any time soon."Authorities were on scene into the night to monitor the bear and keep crowds away. They tried to wait the bear out before ultimately deciding to tranquilize it."We really don't have too many options," Boudreau said during the day Sunday. "We don't want to harm the bear or any of the people here. Usually a bear will come down when it gets quieter or wait until dark."Police officers were armed with nonlethal PepperBall guns, which can be used on humans or animals. The gun is like a paintball gun with powder instead of paint in the pellets.Boudreau, adding that he was no bear expert, estimated the bear to be at least 2 years old with a weight of 150-200 pounds.
Rochester Police Sgts. Anthony Bossi, left, and Gary Boudreau stand by as a black bear clings to a tree in downtown Rochester Sunday "This is definitely a bigger bear than you would normally see downtown," he said.Police had their hands full keeping bystanders a safe distance away from the wild animal during the day. "If the crowd left, the bear might come down. We could be here pretty late, though," Boudreau said.Conservation officer Justin Ferland cleared about half the crowd away Sunday when he announced no one would be shooting the bear down from the tree."As far as we can tell, the bear hasn't been injured or hit by a car," he said during the day. "There is nothing physically wrong with him, so we can't euthanize him, and we can't use any tranquilizers on him in this heat. It would be too much."He stressed the risk to public safety. "Once the bear comes down, we won't be able to control what happens next, so we want people as far away as possible," he said. The area was taped off and barricaded with police vehicles. "He's moved, stretched and napped a little bit," Ferland said of the bear before it was tranquilized.
